Pursuing a life of Rest

The story

If you rewind to 2015, you’d find me living what looked very much like the dream.

I was a full-time musician, writer, artist, and tour host — creating endlessly, podcasting, making music videos, travelling the world, and doing work I loved. Somewhere along the way, something unexpected started happening: women began reaching out to me for mentorship, business guidance, and support.

What began as conversations turned into online courses and coaching groups — always on the side, but always deeply fulfilling. Looking back, it makes perfect sense. I’ve always been drawn to people who are carrying a lot. As a teenager, I dreamed of working with trafficking survivors. As a teacher, I chose the most deprived schools, where academic learning often took a back seat to pastoral care and emotional safety.

Coaching, mentoring, and guiding others was never a surprise — it was a constant thread.

Then 2020 arrived, and like so many others, my world came to a sudden stop. The pandemic halted my work almost overnight, and I had to pivot — fast.

Almost by chance, I had purchased an online diploma in interior design. I’d noticed something interesting in my coaching work: again and again, home and environment kept coming up. People weren’t just overwhelmed — their spaces were contributing to it.

COVID meant one thing: qualify, and qualify quickly.

I did. And on the very day I passed my exams, I was hired by an architect as his designer. I was thrown in at the deep end — and swam.

Willow & Rest was born, and we hustled hard. I designed homes across the north of Israel, building a reputation for modern country interiors, high-end finishes, and professionalism, grounded in care. But underneath the aesthetics, I was still noticing the same thing: spaces profoundly affect how we cope, heal, and function.

Then came 2023 — the year that broke our family.

Following a sudden and severe sepsis diagnosis, we almost lost our eldest son at just fifteen years old. It changed everything. We made the painful decision to leave our home and move to the UK for a season, seeking space to breathe and recover.

Not long after we arrived, war broke out back home. Trauma was everywhere. I watched friends and family unravel under the weight of it, while the UK itself began shifting in ways that forced yet another move — back home again.

During that time, I knew one thing for certain: I needed deeper tools. Not diagnosis. Not medication. But understanding, resilience, and nervous system support.

I immersed myself in study and eventually found a trauma qualification unlike anything else — the only one of its kind in the world. And I went all in.

So here I am.

An interior designer.
A trauma-informed, somatic coach.
With a specialisation in business and leadership.

I am utterly convinced that our spaces shape our wellbeing. That our homes can support healing — or quietly work against it. That leadership, business, and life are lived not just in our minds, but in our bodies and environments.

What might look like jumping ships is, in truth, one continuous path — connecting creativity, care, space, and the nervous system into a way of living and leading that allows people to thrive.

That’s the heart of Willow & Rest.

“The more I studied, the more I was convinced - Home can heal, or hijack our health.”
